The insurection in the concentration camp at Treblinka on August 2nd, 1943 lasted 90 minutes. One thousand attempted to escape, 400 were killed or re-captured and 600 reached the woods. One year later only about 40 remained, 560 were killed by bandits posturing as patriots and locals.
