Vladimir Yankievsky untitled

As an artist Yankillevsky is hard to classify. He has been described variously as a Conceptualist, Surrealist, and Abstract Expressionnist. He distorts his images and abandons conventional realism to create his own fantastic world. He portrays the human body in a variety of grotesque poses. Yankillevsky's paintings often display and exaggerate the sexual characteristics of his figures.
