Born in 1939 in Moscow where he still lives, Viatcheslav Kalinin graduated from the Industrial Art Institute in Khotkovo (Moscow). He has exhibited in Moscow, Rome, Florence, Stuttgart, Lugano, Copenhagen, Bokhum, Vienna, Braunshweig, Freiburg, West Berlin, Constanza, Tokyo, London, Venic, Turin, Washington, New York, Lausanne, Tours, Laval, Chartres, and Montgeron.
